Stylish, vibrant and convenient - this reflects in the special atmosphere of our centre - you can feel at home here!
Vincent Park offers a wide choice of shopping and entertainment pleasure in a friendly ambience- facilities comprise 100 retail outlets, five Ster-Kinekor movie theatres, a full banking mall and plenty of parking.
We were one of East London's first shopping centres, opening our doors in 1971.
Since then, several major extension programmes have taken place, with a multi million rand redevelopment and expansion in 2007 ensuring that Vincent Park remains at the forefront of retail offerings in the city.
The centre is managed by Old Mutual Investment Group: Property Investments.
R40 MILLION REVAMP FOR VINCENT PARK TO HOUSE GAME STORE
East London’s Vincent Park Shopping Centre is to undergo a R40,4 million revamp to accommodate a Game Discount Store.
The Game store, occupying 4 100m², is expected to open at the end of November. The revamp, starting on April 6, will entail the addition of space at the centre for a stock room for Game and the relocation of several stores.
Joseph Parsley, manager of Vincent Park, says having Game and its range of consumables and durables at the centre will further strengthen the tenant mix and merchandise offering.
“The Game offering will be unique to Vincent Park in East London retailing and will enhance the centre’s position as a leading shopping destination,” says Parsley.
The revamp will follow the R105 million redevelopment by Old Mutual Investment Group Property Investments of Vincent Park in 2007 when a 4 300m² mall and more undercover parking was added.
“It is largely this space created on the upper level, together with the new adjoining stock room, that will be occupied by Game,“ says Parsley.
“The relocations will be phased over the four months to August to minimise business disruption. Mr Price Home will be relocating from the upper level to the lower level and with Mr Price Weekend will trade in areas currently occupied by Woolworths and Vincent Family Pharmacy. In turn, Woolworths will consolidate their clothing and food operations in their existing area on the upper level. Vincent Family Pharmacy will move into the space now occupied on the lower level by Mr Price Weekend.”
Parsley says that, since the revamp is centred on internal changes, it is hoped to avoid the inconvenience caused by large scale construction to shoppers.
